Could well be. I thought agger had a good game, but he played a few dubious balls to Johnson that lead to us losing possession in our own half. Bound to be rusty though. Great to have him back.
Noticed this a couple of times......passing behind Johnson's movement, which always led to him having to turn back. Bit too cautious, but only a minor complaint.

Was very good today. The communication thing was key - everytime you say him he was talking and pointing to the other players. Gave the back line a bit of leadership, and allowed Skertel to play on his favoured side as well.

i always seem to remember agger being the leader and skrtel being the soldier. skrtel is a very good defender, but he needs some leadership alongside him.
if he doesnt have that he can still defend, buit he isnt reading things as early, thats what agger brings. skrtel is then forced into last ditch block after block without the direction for agger.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
Nope. It's strange because you don't really see Agger playing particularly well as an individual defender. It's the calming influence that's his main asset, he's a great organizer and he makes our other defenders better. When Toure and Skrtel play together, you notice the lack of leadership and the sense of panic.
I still think we need to change things next season, but it's nice to have Agger in there and healthy instead of Toure.
