Itasportpress is reporting that Liverpool centre back Daniel Agger is the focus of interest from three leading European clubs. According to the report, Juventus, Rafa Benitez’s Inter Milan and Steve McClaren’s Wolfsburg have all contacted the Reds about the price that the Merseyside club would be looking for if they were to let the Dane leave in the January transfer window. All three clubs are said to be keen to take on the 25 year old despite his injury problems. Liverpool’s Head Doctor Peter Brukner has stated that he expects Agger to return to first team action before Christmas.

If the money is right, why not? Unfortunately injuries will prevent him from becoming a decent player so financially it makes sense.Originally posted by Bender View PostItasportpress is reporting that Liverpool centre back Daniel Agger is the focus of interest from three leading European clubs. Rumours on twitter by Andrew_Heaton that Agger is gone in Jan, club actively looking to sell, apparently said he was injured so didn't have to play left back then declared himself fit to play for Denmark where he then got injured!!!
Not as straight forward as that for me, players don't declare themself fit or unfit - club doctors and medical staff do so our doctors must have declared him unfit in the first placeThe King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Let's face it, all this Roy vs Agger thing is irrelevant. The lad's been injured since the day he came to the club. He's another Kewell or Aurelio. If we can still get decent money for him now then we should snap the hands off anyone willing to pay it in January.Originally posted by saj View PostIf the money is right, why not? Great player when he's fit, but you just can't rely on him playing the majority of a season, and you can't base your back four around a player like that.

This being the same player that played with concussion against Man City at left back.Originally posted by The Birdman View PostRumours on twitter by Andrew_Heaton that Agger is gone in Jan, club actively looking to sell, apparently said he was injured so didn't have to play left back then declared himself fit to play for Denmark where he then got injured!!!

If we sell Agger it will be a BIG mistake IMO. To quote the old dodderer after Carra got injured 'we're not that well blessed with centre backs', so it seems a daft time to sell him especially if he's coming back to fitness.
It would leave us with Skrtel, Soto and Wilson/Kelly without reinforcements - inspiring.
My biggest wish for Christmas is for Roy to get sacked, preferably on christmas eve just to really **** him off.'Religion is killing each other over who has the best imaginary friend'

Cos' of course he does it deliberatelyOriginally posted by Imustbreakyou View PostI'd lose very little sleep if Agger left and we brought in Rami. Agger takes the piss with his constant injuries & I also reckon he's over-rated as a defender.

As much as a like Agger as a footballer, I love seeing defenders with the ability to bring the ball out of defence. IMO selling him would not be a great loss, as he spends more time off the pitch than on it.Originally posted by Ben_Itez View PostThis being the same player that played with concussion against Man City at left back.

Injuries certainly affected my perception of Agger but he is easily the best defender we have when healthy and if (very big IF) he can finally get fit and we should keep him.
Otherwise, we should sell but my concern is that we may not replace him with someone of decent quality which could be a very likely outcome with Roy in charge.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club
