      I think it is.

Cruciate injuries can take months (up to a year) to heal with surgery

Seems that Medial can be measured in weeks.

I'm not a doctor so this is me doing some research off the internet!

          Treatment

          Main article: Medial knee injuries

Depending on the grade of the injury, the lowest grade (grade 1) can take between 2 and 10 weeks for the injury to fully heal. Recovery times for grades 2 and 3 can take weeks to several months.

Treatment of a partial tear or stretch injury is usually conservative. Physical Therapy should be a first choice option for treatment and diagnosis of injuries to this structure. This includes measures to control inflammation as well as bracing. Kannus has shown good clinical results with conservative care of grade II sprains, but poor results in grade III sprains.[2] As a result, more severe grade III and IV injuries to the MCL that lead to ongoing instability may require arthroscopic surgery. However, the medical literature considers surgery for most MCL injuries to be controversial.[3] Since isolated MCL injuries are uncommon, surgery is often focused on ACL replacement or repair with combined surgical approaches being common.

I snapped my medial ligament playing rugby when I was 18. After surgery I was in plaster for six weeks then for about two months a lovely physio called Ruth would smile sweetly as she put me through quite a lot of pain. We should see Agger back this season then.

Some reports saying he's out for the season.

              We're cursed.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Time for Coates to step up. Either that, or I would prefer to see Kelly moved inside to CB and Flanagan at RB.

That is a **** load of young players though.

Wouldn't surprise me. It was clear that it was very serious by the way he reacted.

Not sure Kelly has it in him to play CB at the moment plus he is looking at a spell out injured.

                    Has to be Coates.

what with aggers injury record! he'll never be a player who can unfortunatley stay injury free

Knew we should've sold him to Man City when we had the chance.

this was my thinking when city bid for him do we take the money or keep him hoping he stays injury free.....anyway that ship has sailed now!

I think, much like Carragher, Kelly's best position in CB. But he suffers with the problem of better players being in those positions. Jack of all trades at the back, master of none.

Anyone remember Carra playing Defensive Midfield for England. L O ****ing L

I'd like to see Wisdom get a chance at some point. Think he's the long term answer. Awesome physical tools and very technically advanced. I like him more than Coates.
