Babel strikes me as the kind of guy that would get confused over left & right, nevermind training schedules and fatigue.

I have no more time for him at all. Let him go score a screamer and then trip over the ball somewhere else.

i can almost see how his strange mental deficiency might seem like resilience.

It is resilience because his body somehow just keeps going whilst missing a brain. Kind of like those chickens that run around for years after having their heads chopped off.
            Hello mert.

The Chelsea goal late on as well. Wowzerz.

He ended up more Heskey than Henry though. Pity.

I think in the summer after his first year he went to the olympics which Rafa moaned about (rightly so) and ended up getting an injury and returning late. Ever since then Babel has never had a look in.

I remember whe he came on against Lyon in France and smashed in an absoloute cracker, in the short time he was on he looked ten times more likely to cause damage than any other player had done all night.

Next game he didn't even come off the bench. ****ing pathetic management.
I was there that night, and at that moment in time, it looked like we'd stolen a massive massive win.

If they hadnt fluked that equaliser right at the end, who knows how different things might be now.

The bottom line on Babel is that he has not helped himself one bit, he's not stepped up enough to the challenge BUT despite this he has been very badly managed and Benitez is partly to blame for Babel not progressing.

It was THE defining moment in the end of Rafa for me. I think in spite of indifferent league form the CL had always been something Rafa could fall back on. When that safety net was removed I think the players and fans started to question him.

Many many players have scored screamers, more than Babel ever has anyway, it's ceratinly not a sign of a good player or potential, it's the other 99.9% of his game that lets him down, that and his childish attitude.
