I'm not a Scouser and I'm not a season ticket holder. Chants started by non scousers and non season ticket holders don't tend to get listened to. And in all probability, many fans are still unlikely to call for his head because of the Liverpool Way, forgetting that we pissed all that down the drain when we chanted for the previous owners to leave.

      Is the right answer.

I know I've given Roy a fair crack with my support, but admittedly he's not doing too well on or off the pitch. If NESV don't see this by Christmas or at worst May then we have bigger problems than Roy at the club.

Fortunately, so far NESV have been doing everything professionally. Thankfully. I expect the wheels are turning in the background and when the time is right Roy will be popped out.
      One tit for another.

Quite simply, he proved he wasn't up to the job prior to them taking over. He then over saw an embarrassing display against Everton and he remained.

Since then we have had poor displays against Wigan, Stoke and the surrender against Spurs. Yet he still remains. They've had the chance to sack him. Even Roys pals in the media would find it hard to argue he didn't deserve to get the bullet.

And Henry has said we can't blame Roy as it's not his squad. So that's what I base my thoughts on. I just think Henry has been given bad advice by somebody tbh.

I have no doubts that long term Nesv will get it right and will be good for us. It's only the present that is pissing me off.
you keep assuming they are doing nothing, none of us know what they are doing.

how many times do you see a board back a manager then sack him

just because he isnt sacked now or last week or next week doesnt mean they want him to stay

I am assuming, correct. But other people are assuming that Nesv are working behind the scenes to get us a new manager.

In all honesty, nobody knows what is going on, I'm just giving my opinion on what I think is happening. I hope I am completely wrong, which wouldn't be the first time by any means.

if none of us know, how do you know that your assumption is correct?

we all hate the current situation and want it changed.

as people have said getting the right man in is the difficult bit they are building an executive team building the foundations.

            they do things in private

I don't. I just happen to think that the information I have suggests Roy will stay as opposed to that he will leave.

but in another thread you posted something about NESV already interviewing and looking for a new manager

the fact he isnt here doesnt mean they are not looking

as i keep saying sacking roy is easy getting the right man in isnt .

Dunno, I give up. Seems NESV have bought in to the media pro-Bodge bull****. Very gloomy about our future at the mo.
                    3rd place. Worst champions ever.

I'm not calling anyone an idiot, I just find it strange that people just assume Nesv are looking to get rid of the manager behind the scenes, despite there being no indications of this, on the contrary, indications suggest they are happy with Roy.

What it seems to be is people thinking Nesv are doing something, simply because it is so obvious to us that Roy is the wrong man, we just can't fathom that Nesv would not also see this.

                        nesv bought the club quietly

nesv brought in comolli in quietly

why do you think they will be all over the press looking for a manager?

I wouldn't. But let's be honest, if Roy was to be sacked, wouldn't he have done it by now?

And if the problem is we are waiting until the end of the season for the new man, then we are stuck with Roy as I have suggested. And as such, we may as well write this season off, as I have also suggested.

I just can't understand why they wouldn't give Kenny a shot. Nothing to lose.

in the real world every decision has a risk even getting rid of roy.

keeping him is a risk too

but as i keep saying getting the right man in for the long term is what i imagine they are looking at. also they have a track record of doing things quietly.

kenny is a risk maybe they want to get a long term man in and it is possible that he wont be avialable until the end of they year or it might be they are still looking.

also we are midtable and not in danger of going down so from that point they dont have to act tonight.

i wish they would but it doesnt mean they have to.

No danger of us going down. I'd only like a change now to see if an upturn in form could bring us a top 4 place. If that didn't happen, nothing lost.

I think the truth, as it often is, is in between the two extremes that you mention. They won't be happy with our current position, no-one would be. But they won't be actively looking to get rid behind the scenes either. They will be learning as much as they can about the game, waiting to see how things pan out under Roy, and if he fails then he'll be gone. They'll be conscious of the fact that we are not a sacking club historically speaking, and that sacking a manager mid-season without a replacement lined up and available is not exactly ideal, nor is it a good message to send to possible replacements that you could be sacked before Christmas if you don't deliver instantly.

In terms of Roy long-term, it's simple. Either he'll get us into a position where we are challenging and playing good football, or he won't. If the former, what's the problem? If the latter, he'll be gone. But if he does go, our next appointment is absolutely crucial, as they'll be taking over a club in crisis (football wise) and will have to be happy to work under a director of football. Not many available at the moment who would find that attractive, though there will be plenty at the end of the season.

I know I'm out on a limb compared to nearly everyone on this site, but personally I think he still deserves a little longer. Spurs was a very good performance, but we didn't take our chances. It certainly wasn't the one way traffic, 5 or 6 nil hammering that so many on here were confidently expecting in the build up. Beat Villa and go on a run with our 'easier' fixtures over Christmas and New Year, and we'll have something to build on...keep bumbling along as we are for another couple of months and he'll definitely be gone, but who will come in?
