We'd have been better of signing Nicky Shorey if we were looking fir an English LB.

Feel sorry for him. Can't blame him for coming here - that moron Hodgson is to blame for all this. 90% of us amateurs on here could see it was a disastrous move. No excuse for Hodgson. He'll be 30 before the season's finished, he's absolutely wank and he cost around £5m. Words fail me.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Not only that, he was given a 4 year contract, 4 year ****ing contract. Unbelievable.

But aye i agree it's hardly his fault he's here and i feel bad for giving him stick but it's just he's so ****ing out of his depth and it's terrible to see a player like that playing for us.

He'll never be able to raise his game to the level needed at LFC imo, he has'nt done it in his prime, so i doubt he'll be able to do it with what pace (ha) he has now deserting him with age.

I stuggle to garner much sympathy for people earning the amount of money that the likes of Konchesky do, regardless of how out of their depth they are. He earns as much in a week as most do in a year. He's got as job that most would kill for and he's playing for one of the biggest teams in the world (alright 'playing may be stretching it a bit. Lets say 'turning out for' instead). He's miles out of his depth and I want him to either improve dramatically or **** off. Don't mind which.

But I don't dislike him. I'm sure he's doing his job to the best of his ability. Unfortunately for him and us that ability is still miles away from acceptable.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

He claims to be taking responsibility for the consequences of his mistake (or rather the most devastating of all his mistakes during the game) but immediately follows it by talking about chances missed by others. He's not a politician so I'm not accusing him of doing it deliberately but he's effectively saying "I'm to blame (except I'm not really)".
                        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

                          You sure?

                          I think he's saying:

'I am to blame, but I'm not the only one'.
                          Oh I don't know.

...so don't blame on my own for the consequences of my mistake.

It's very mealy-mouthed. I'm not attacking him for it (it's not like we're short of real ammunition there) but equally I don't think he deserves praise for 'holding his hands up' when he then tries to mitigate its impact by blaming others.

It reminds me of that moronic doublethink from Gordon Brown that Craigy quotes or used to quote in his signature. You know, "I'm responsible which is why I've sacked the person responsible" or whatever.
