Well it's Europa week again

It appears we are struggling for CB's with Carra and Agger out indefinitely so that could mean a call up for Wilson ( or possibly Kelly) I suppose.

Fabio should get a start if he hasn't injured himself putting out the washing or some other equally daredevil pastime of his.

Torres and NGog should start as the more time they play together the better IMO.

Shelvey and Pacheco should also come into contention and I'd expect Joe Cole to figure as well.

Thoughts ?

I'd hope to see Pacheco, Kelly and Wilson all feature. Kelly deserves a shot as he's played well whenever he's played, and IMO we haven't seen enough of Wilson and Pacheco.

Hopefully Aurelio will also get a start and Cole will get a good run out if he's fit.

I think it's just a question of what mix of youth and experience Roy goes with, from past experience I suspect Kelly and Spearing will start, but I'm not sure about Pacheco, Wilson or Shelvey.

Be happy with a draw as that would mean qualification. Performance doesn't really matter, though a good one would be nice.

The more I think about it the option of playing Jovanovic as a striker appeals to me.

It is his natural position and the slower pace of a European match could suit him.

I would be very happy with that setup, though I'm sure Roy has some surprise prepared for us, Babel at left back and Aurelio as tall target-man perhaps?

I'd prefer Konk play this almost meaningless game and have Fabio play on Monday.

Steaua's pitch will probably be in a bad shape and it would be stupid to let Aurelio get injured again.

something like that.....play for a draw, maybe try and nick it on the break...1pt pretty much puts us through i think - certainly with FC Twente still to go to anfield, i'm not too concerned about this match - would like to see a few youngsters given a good run out (kelly/wilson/shelvey/pacheco) but alongside the better players - also maybe get cole and aurelio on for match fitness. -

Priority no.1 though - get through this with no more major injuries, Priority no.2 - try not to lose
