    Lfc tv

Just wondering do many of you watch it and if so, what's your views?

Tune in for an hour or two everyday, actually find some of the shows on it interesting like 'This is anfield' phone in and the Press Box. Some bull**** on it too but you'd expect that when it's on about 16 hours a day or whatever.

Always good to keep an eye on how the Academy and Reserves are getting on too.

Overall, i think LFC TV has been a success.

It's just mad that it took so long for the Club to get it's on official channel when you think Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal had their own channel for years before LFC.

I used to watch it when I could series link LFC now, the Academy and reserve highlights. **** knows why it doesn’t work anymore although I noticed you could series link that new interactive LFC now.

I still try to watch the Monday LFC now for Academy or reserve highlights, but that’s about it.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

That's about the only positive around it IMO.

Repeats ad nauseam, poor phone-ins, ingratiating interviews etc.................and above all that, it looks like **** through Sky's transmission.
Can only really take an hour of it a day (unless I missed the 90mins of a match)

Yup, it's handy for watching the full 90 minutes.

Not that I can bear to do that very often.

There's a lot of tripe on there, but there's also a few good bits and pieces to be found among the tripe.

The 'Kop 10' series are often quite good, as are the '30/60 minutes with...' shows.

All in all, it's decent and i'd probably pay £5 per month for it, if i had to.

I'd also be interested to know how much it makes from advertising revenue - not much, would be my guess. Consequently, i think it has to be running at a loss.

I find the replay of the matches good to see if you missed it (depends on result) but other than that a bit repatitive also good to see how the academy and resevres are doing

Probably not enough alright......might just have enough for the two of their wages, and enough left over to get the vaseline for whatever camera is on Claire that week.

It's piss poor. They should charge a fiver a month and show full reserves/academy games. I would think about paying for it then.

Yes but Man U and Chelsea's channels lose money hand over fist as they're subscription only, so have very limited audiences and Arsenal's disappeared when Setanta UK went off air and went off TV overnight straight to the Arsenal website.

LFC TV is pretty good as these things go, having seen snippets of Man U and Chelsea channels on sports channels in Asia and, being free to air, is a great marketing tool

I think I once read that it cost £1m a year to run MUFC TV.

Would we achieve those sorts of revenues from advertisers?

So you'd need to generate £85,000 p/month in revenues, on average, to cover that.

Whatever it costs Man U to run they lose money on it. There's no money in running football channels, so LFC TV seem to have made the sensible decision to at least have a much wider audience than Man U and Chelsea's channels by being the only free-to-air channel. I've noticed that there are far more "mainstream" adverts on there in the last 12 months, so they should make reasonable advertising revenues I would have thought.

At the end of the day it's all about exposure and being a free channel ensures that they get plenty of that
