Gerrard a must or not?

Craig complains that I lick Rafas arse. I have said many times that he made big mistakes. Like when he joined Inter and didn't bother to get guarantees that he would get money to strengthen the squad and like last season for us.

The difference is that if you believe Craig then Gerrard hasn't done anything wrong ever and will never do it. He will never admit that.

Rafa isn't perfect but Gerrard is the most perfect human being ever if you believe Craig.

You can't discuss Gerrard with him, you simply can't because of his view about him.

You can discuss Rafa with me and I will admit that he make mistakes, he isn't perfect. I'm pro Rafa and I respect him very much but as I said, he isn't perfect.

In fact, i've said things like 'Gerrard isnt perfect', 'he deserves the benefit of the doubt', etc, which indirectly acknowledges that he's made mistakes.

I'm dubious as to why you have a go at Gerrard for 'sulking' and not giving 100%, while Torres does the exact same thing and you say nothing to criticise him. They've both done it, yet you villify Gerrard and dont make a sound over Torres.

Seems to me, you expect Gerrard to be Mr Perfection, and to never do anything wrong ever - otherwise, you'll have reason to hang him out to dry. I dont see the logic in that.

And re the 'age' point, i dont think it matters about age, if someone isnt giving their all, then it's wrong, whether they are 18 or 38.

Final point - and i'd like to emphasise that i'm not being aggressive to you with this post, not being abusive nor rude - just disagreeing. But yeah, final point - re your stance on gerrard - it's notable that the vast majority of people who have replied, as far as i can see, seem to have disagreed with you for the most part.

So i'm certainly not alone in that respect.

All in all, let's just both realise that we hold vastly different views, accept we dont agree on the subject and give it a bit of 'Que Sera Sera'. Leave it at that.

To sound a bit Jamie Redknapp, he is still a top, top player - but his powers are on the wane. He is probably the best central midfielder, attacking midfielder and right sided midfielder we have - ****, he's probably the best right back we have as well - but for me, and for the good of the team, he should be out right.

He is a must, his delivery from wide and goal scoring threat from there are evident. He might not have the legs he had a couple of years ago, but he's still ****ing dynamic.

Oh and while we're at it - give Meireles the free kicks and corners. Gerrard's shooting ability should score us goals like Lampard's deflected punts from outside the box.

Whilst i'd also still look at playing him off Torres, as well as possibly out on the right, i agree with nigh on all of that.

I dont agree with your views on Craig. Yes he is a zealous poster, but he is not offensive or aggressive. He has an opinion ( or several ) and just likes to share it.

The likes of Craig, Shaggy and Reece, who have around 3.6 trillion posts between them are the heartbeat of this forum

I wouldn't like him blocked at all. He's an excellent poster and one of the pillars here IMO. Those things happen and I understand why he would be annoyed at the end of the day.

but we are all different though the good thing is when we get it right and start winning (not under bodge obviously) we will be able to agree on many things and not as divided as we seem to be.

i think in good times its just different opinions but in bad times the passion is really injected into the discussion. the unfortunate problem with it is that its negative in bad times.

i wouldnt want him banned or blocked from the site. just saying from a personal point of view that i found blocking him to be the answer. He has blocked me too so i think that has solved the problem for me.

Though i have to unblock him as he posts that much that things dont make sense without his posts. As he he has blocked me he doesnt say much about my posts so in the end its problem solved.

Craig's a good bloke. He follows Liverpool all over the land and for that alone, I have immense respect for him.
