BBC forecasting 'heavy snow' for Liverpool on Saturday.

Any chance this could get called off? I'd rather be a little closer to home than the M62 before hearing of a postponement!

Every chance I'd say. Remember that game being called off last season (or the year before?) when the pitch was fine but they were concerned about ice and conditions outside Anfield. If it's as heavy and widespread (north west) as they say it's going to be I'd say there's a chance.

Edit - having said that the forecast I use has the heavy snow predicted for daytime hours, in which case it probably won't settle and the match will go ahead.

Problem is, i need to know preferably before i leave.

Also, i have tickets for someone who is flying in from Scandanavia for this game - they obviously wont be able to just pop back for the rearranged game. So presumably, i'd be eligible to get a refund?

Bet the cheeky ****ers wont refund the £5 'web sales' fee, at £2.50 per ticket.

Apparently it'll be sleet tomorrow, light snow Friday, heavy snow Saturday. So I guess you'll have some idea the day before.

Surely if the heavy snow doesnt rock up UNTIL saturday, they wont be calling it off by Friday night. They'll wait to see how bad the snow is.

I remember that Arsenal game that got fogged out a few years back. They only announced that it was off, just as i was coming upto Junction 5 of the M62, a few miles before the end of the motorway and the 'entry' to Liverpool. FFS sake.

I'll be driving up to Macclesfield (urrggh) Friday and onto Liverpool Saturday. Hope the Met Office is wrong or I'll be stuck with the outlaws.

I actually wouldnt mind if it got called off. I could do with a warm relaxing weekend and furthermore, the next game after that is away, which means more chance of losing and the bodge being one game closer to the chop.

Fulham's training ground is about 5 mins from where i live. If i'd known what was going to happen, i would've taken roy out of the equation when he was still there.
