        RIP Avi.
        A life ended too soon.
In Judaism it is custom to wish a deceased's family a long life, hence I would like to wish Avi's family and close friends a Long Life.
May Hashem look after you now.

He was a very good player, a classy football-playing left-back who didn't know how to hoof the ball and liked to stroke it round on the deck. Light years ahead of the likes of Konchesky in the same position.

Everyone who saw him play remembers the time he scored at both ends at Anfield. I was at the game on the Kop and he scored an own goal but also scored for us at the other end. Don't remember the opposition.

He was the kind of player you were happy to see in the line-up

That was against Villa, right at the end of the season, we won the league with that win.

So it was. I knew the game stood out for a reason. It was a long time ago so the memory's faded a bit
