Yeah, I do, he did great, but a rot set in. He bought 3 world class players, and while they were all in the team we were great, but 2 wanted to leave because they were not happy. Rafa lacks the man management skills to keep the top players happy. I think if he had stayed we were in danger of losing Gerrard and Torres too.Originally posted by saveferris View PostHe is a good tactician and has proved with top class players he can fight with the best of them, and I dont think you'll find a manager in England with the passion for the club that he has. It doesnt mean he's the best for the job now but it means that his efforts should be appreciated.
Rafa is flawed in a way that undermines the good tactical work he puts in.In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Fowler
- i was at uni when a mate came into to my room to tell me fowler is going leeds, i was virtually in tears....i just couldnt' believe it - i was so gutted, that usually as with any group of lads especially in uni where there fans from teams all over the country there would be a lot of banter....but with this, they could see i was distraught...they supported me
And I said to them.....He will play for liverpool again!!!.
Years later, having lost touch with most of them....the day god came back - i got texts and emails etc from a load of them - villa fans, birmingham, arsenal, mancs, etc etc -i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

He's not mate, hard as it is to believe, it's what some genuinely believe, i think.Originally posted by Fivex View PostYou're on some sort of wind up mate.
They really really think Xabi would have knocked back Madrid had Rafa not been so strict with his players, it is imo wrong to believe that, but it's a stick to beat Rafa with.

You went to university and you don't know that "i" in the middle of a sentance should be capitalised ?Originally posted by PTP View PostFowler

interesting that the people who really want you to remember that rafa took a team from 2nd to 7th forget to let you know that first he took that team to 2nd, 4 points off the title. he didn't inherit that team, it was his. something went wrong, but clearly he knows how to build a team to get that far.dave of mutilation

I imagine things will still be quite tight, and Rafa wont have full control of transfers, so why would he want to come back, and why with the godawful crap we were subjected to last season does he deserve to? Hodgeson is rubbish, but he is playing with Rafas legacy.
I think we need to look for a manager who can motivate the players we have got, and bring a bit of joy back in to our foorball. It's almost fascist-like how the overwhelming pro-Rafa majority here means people can basically insult and question the sanity or motives of any poster who dares express an anti-Rafa opinion. I agree with every single word Charly said in that post, it is clearly not a wind-up, it is a sane, non-rose-tinted view of Rafa's last season at our club, which to my mind was no less a crime against football than what Hodgson is currently inflicting on us. If Rafa comes back, with his ultra-defensive football, **** signings, crap man-management skills and crazy substitutions then I for one will have to turn away from football until he's gone again. There, I've said it, now throw as many accusations of retardedness, WUM-ery or whatever the **** you want to throw my way. This place has become an unenjoyable zoo full of over-aggressive trigger-happy idiots of late, so I expect nothing less.Originally posted by Fivex View PostYou're on some sort of wind up mate.

He's made up a load of guff to support his opinion, scully. Like I said in a more recent post, he's entitled to his opinion and that's not the problem.
He's completely ignored the ownership situation, and blamed Rafa for everything last season. The rot set in from the top.
And to say Rafa quit of his own accord? Do you agree with that, as well?
He's one of us mate, a red through and through. Mutual consent my arse.Hello mert.
