We have the bulk of a very good team.

Reina is world class. Johnson is the England RB. Skrtel has proved he is capable of doing the job in the PL, as has Carragher and Aurelio. Lucas is playing excellently, Meireles is an established top class international. Kuyt's proven at PL level, as is Joe Cole. Gerrard is Gerrard, Torres is Torres and N'Gog is improving all the time.

There's easily enough there.

When will people ****ing well realise it? - THE PLAYERS ARE LIKE THIS BECAUSE THEY DONT BELIEVE IN THE MANAGER. SIMPLE. I know this for a fact.

Bring in a proper manager, who knows how to use the players properly, knows how to motivate them and instills belief and confidence - and suddenly you'll see the difference.

Aside from anything else, it's pure idiocy to think you can just ship out the whole squad and bring in a new one.

Changing the manager is a must but it wont solve nothing. The squad is packed full of mid table players. Some past now cause of age & a few more that aren't trying or crocked.

it doesn't hurt, dannyman. as i've just said elsewhere, even though i expect they will turn the club around, we should still try and hold them to some standards.

as for the players, craig, i do wonder if they're emotionally finished at this club. might not be a bad idea to ship out a load of players and bring some in without a ton of bad memories associated with the club.

I still would though, if i had Henry's email address. I've posted tweets before and i dont think they do any good. And they'll know that a) my ST is already paid for and b) even if it wasnt, there'll be others keen to take my place.

Honestly dont think Henry gives two ****s. If he did, he would've done something about it. It isnt as if he doesnt already know how the fans feel. He isnt blind or deaf. Just embarrassingly passive.

Not disputing that at all fella, the way we're set up is shocking.

As Roy Evans said on LFC TV earlier, from the first whistle we let teams come onto us and opposed to us coming onto them, even **** teams.

Even still, with players like Gerrard, Johnson, Kuyt and Torres, there's no way we should be struggling against teams like Blackpool and Wolves. Not at home anyway.

The first i want to see happen is for Roy to go but that's not the only thing that needs to be done, far from it.

You really do have a major sense of underestimation, when it comes to the impact of a manager, dont you?

You're not wrong Craig. With decent backing for the new manager, a top class one could certainly make a proper footballing team of us. This appointment is so important, a make or break one really.

Look at what Wolves, Blackpool & Northampton have all done to achieve their success

They have come here pressed high up the pitch and worked their socks off and when they have the ball they have attacked in numbers

Roys teams dont press the ball, they retreat and allow the opposition the chance to play and all we do is ****ing hoof the ball. I guarantee a new manager will get more from these players by playing the right tactics, motivating them and more importantly playing people in the right positions

I played semi-pro when I was a young man its very hard to perform if you dont believe in the man who coaches you

I was fortunate I played mainly under decent coaches but occasionally you came across someone whose ideas didnt fit

With me I know I wouldnt survive under Roy, I was tough tackling, worked my balls off and could really pass a ball but above all else I would run through brick walls to win. I really dont know how I would fair under Roy hes the anti-thesis of everything I stand for

So whilst I dont like seeing it I can maybe appreciate why we arent getting performances from our key players

Not that it was ever in doubt Lec, but you're one of the most clued up on here - thank god someone finally said this.

I know for a fact (as i suspect you do too) that the vast majority of the squad dont believe in Roy, and are just going through the motions. It's not 'right' but it's how life and human nature works. It's similar to how someone acts when they are leaving a job and just working through their notice period. Logically, the players know that Roy cant be likely to stay for very long and until he's gone, they are just going through the motions.

The majority of the players dont want him here. 98% of the fans dont want him here.
