You sound like it's a fact already - are you serious?Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostHe's at a big club in Porto and has no problems. If he talks sense the players will listen. I don't think age has anything to do with it if he can show he knows what he's talking about.
Working under Mourinho will get peoples attention as will his work at Acadmica and FC Porto. After that it's up to him. But I just get a sense he commands respect and knows his stuff.
One day he'll be as highly regarded as the likes of Van Gaal, Ferguson, Wenger and Hiddink etc. Only reason he can't be classed there now is lack of time being a manager.Substance > Style

How can I say it's fact? They are classed as the top managers because they've been concistant over a number of years.Originally posted by ronanm View PostYou sound like it's a fact already - are you serious?
Being great at something is not about being fantastic for 5 minutes. It's about being fantastic for a number of years.
Now if, on the other hand, you are asking me if I think there is anyone capable of doing a better job for Porto at this point in time, I would say no. And if you were to ask me, is there anyone better to takeover Liverpool right now or at the end of the season, I would also say no.
I think his managerial ability is right up there. But he'll never be considered in the same breath as those I've mentioned until he's done it for a number of years.Forwards.......

You stated "one day...." - that sounds like a guarantee to me - there's nothing (yet) to suggest he'll be anywhere near those levels - certainly not based on 50% of a Portugese league season. Yet you want to risk him taking over at Anfield now as there isn't "anyone better"? We'll have to disagree on that one.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostHow can I say it's fact?
