Lovin the fact ManUre have been afforded the ManU title in this thread's subject

Anyway, Fergiescum has stated he will not make the same mistake again by fielding a 2nd string in the FAC 3rd round as he did at home against Leeds last season when they lost.

On SSN, he didn't want to comment on Roy's situation. Why would he? He loves it. As does Gary Neville and all the gang.

We'll lose. But maybe by one goal. Because, the disgusting thing is as they make their way to the easiest (19th) title they've ever had, man for man, we're as good as they are.

Manchester United v Liverpool: Roy Hodgson walks on amid confusion as old rivals lay in wait
Roy Hodgson is expected to lead Liverpool out at Old Trafford to face Manchester United in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday. Beyond that, his future remains shrouded in uncertainty. Never before will the Anfield side have confronted their fiercest rivals in a state of such confusion.

Confusion reigns: Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson is still in a job Photo: AP
By Rory Smith and Mark Ogden 11:00PM GMT 07 Jan 2011

The club’s manager has stood on the brink for 10 days. Defeat at home by Wolves on Dec 29 sealed Hodgson’s fate in the eyes of Fenway Sports Group, Liverpool's owner, convincing the American consortium to end his reign as soon as possible. The group’s initial plan to make the first appointment of their tenure a permanent one this summer was discarded, and the search for a caretaker began.

Abject surrender at Blackburn on Wednesday night seemed to sound the death knell, yet Hodgson remains in place. It is a stay of execution, rather than a pardon, but FSG’s failure to put him out of his misery has left Liverpool rudderless.

It should be of no surprise that Sir Alex Ferguson, Hodgson’s close friend, believes the Liverpool manager’s record demands respect. It is the Manchester United manager’s habit to patronise those rivals he does not see as a threat while scorning those who trouble his primacy.

“I had a very good relationship with Ferguson,” Hodgson’s predecessor, Rafael Benítez, once said. “But then something changed. Maybe it is because we were winning more.”

The Spaniard’s theory was borne out by his old foe’s comments on Friday. “Roy Hodgson doesn’t need to justify his record as a manager,” Ferguson said. “His experience and performance level everywhere he’s been have been terrific.”

It's a cup tie and there are shocks in cup ties. There have been great reminders of that over the years, Hereford beating Newcastle, it's happened with Yeovil Town and York City, Bournemouth beating Manchester United. It's a tournament you can't take for granted."

I read that as he's comparing us to Hereford, York and Yeovil!

Pin that up in the ****ing dressing room before the game, ban Roy from the changing room and let the lads make what they will of comments like that!

yeah, he's good at it - compliments Bodge on one hand and basically calls us the same level as York et al - things like this that remind me why I hate him so much!

He's not far wrong with Bodge at the helm, while we may be a bigger club...we're playing similar football.

When will this hellish nightmare end ? it's soul destroying and so very depressing.

                      Broughton said..No promises...just watch what they do....well Martin..we're watching.

                      edit: Still watching....

Just a shame it's not at Anfield. Can you imagine what the atmosphere would have been like!
