Happy with that overall. Some nice play, lots of fight, a moral clean sheet. No gerrard for three games, but mayb that's not too bad a thing. Kelly was boss. All of the back four were decent. Torres was dire, but as I said, happy with that.

Apart from the obvious shockers by our buddy Webb. Thought Kelly,Aurelio,Reina,Agger had good games, Kelly in particular was outstanding, so much better than Johnson at defending. Was disgusted with Meireles, what a complete and utter pussy. Maxi and Kuyt were dismal and Nando had a bad one but was isolated horribly.

Though we worked hard, can take some positives out of the game but in the end, its the result that will be remembered.

Not the result we were looking for but I'll take that. We looked like an actual team rather than 10 random players shat onto a pitch to rely on Reina saving 'em yet again (even if he did save it from getting worse, again).

Also good to have a manager with a plan B when things went wrong, Shelvey and Babel having an immediate impact. Bodge would have been sat in the dugout rubbing his face.

If we can play like that in the league we'll be able to get some pride back.

Would have loved to see that with Gerrard staying on but, see what we'd have played like then.
