If that's the team, I'll be absolutely over the moon. Kelly deserves to keep his place, Johnson on the wing, Kuyt upfront and Raul in the centre. Oh and no bald LB.

It will be 4-4-1-1 tonight
Maxi will tuck in and Johnson will be the out and out wide player with Kuyt playing off Torres and dropping in when they have the ball

Bit like the Kenny teams of old...Barnesy providing the width one side, Houghton tucking in on the other side.Originally posted by Lecter View PostIt will be 4-4-1-1 tonight

Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I can't wait to watch us play again.....He has given everyone connected with the club a huge boost. It can only be the same in the dressing room.-----------------------------------------------

Remember when we signed Ray Houghton who was a central midfielder for OxfordOriginally posted by Craig_H View PostNot sure one game will give us a conclusive answer, mind.
When he was put out on the right loads of fans were moaning
Only took 1 game before they realised that he was suited for that roleBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

If he does well,we can play him there again!Originally posted by Craig_H View PostNot sure one game will give us a conclusive answer, mind.
Jokes aside,I really feel Johnson can be much better with a decent defender behind him.He is our best attacking right sided player by far.-----------------------------------------------

If Johnson has a stormer, then fine. My point was, if he doesnt have his best game at RM tonight, i would still look towards playing him there in future.

I was always against playing Johnson at right mid, I really though if he knuckled down he could be a top class fullback.
But in the end he's won me over as a right midfielder, by virtue of his consistently diabolical defending

I remember him playing there for Pompey not long before we signed him and he was a revelation there for them. Let's hope it's a master-stoke, a bit like moving Gareth Bale forward.
