I'd rather a poker like response than "yeah we're looking at x, y and z" partly as you don't want to alert other teams where you are with potential transfer targets and partly because if things aren't done don't give the fans hope of someone coming in and it falls through.Originally posted by Rudo View Post**** sake!!
I'd be shocked if a couple didn't turn up this window but we'll know when they're done or as good as done.

Originally posted by Alex View PostIts a bit ambiguous what he said. If he said we will be bringing people in and we dont he will be for it. If he said we will bring no one, he will be for it. Leave it all open. I think we will bring in one or two. Nothing mega though
He can't rule out either, if he finds the right player for the right deal he'll bring him in. If not then, well, not. This is where it's OK to lower expectations

it's about managing expectations FFS!!Originally posted by Rudo View PostFeck off, we need a few signings and whilst it's not ideal to bring players in on January it's hardly ****ing impossible is it?
It's very much do-able.
He's not said they won't be coming in, just it's a difficult window which it is.

In fairness, we've had to switch from Roy signings to Kenny signings.Originally posted by Rudo View Post**** sake!!
As TB said in The Times web chat, Roys priorities were Height, Kennys are likely to be skillfull players. Comolli likely to have done plenty of leg work on certain players and now has to abandon all that work for other players.Forwards.......

What is your beef? It is commercial suicide to tell people we're going to splash the cash. Being cagey is the way forward.Originally posted by Rudo View PostFeck off, we need a few signings and whilst it's not ideal to bring players in on January it's hardly ****ing impossible is it?

Don't take whatever Comolli says in a PC as Bible talk. He was hardly gonna say he's going to sign Luis Suarez or Lionel Messi was he?Originally posted by Rudo View PostFeck off, we need a few signings and whilst it's not ideal to bring players in on January it's hardly ****ing impossible is it?

No, but if he says he'll definately bring in players than he's put pressure on himself and the club to deliver that, which could result in the wrong signing IMO.Originally posted by Rudo View PostFeck off, we need a few signings and whilst it's not ideal to bring players in on January it's hardly ****ing impossible is it?

He hasn't said "No Rudo, we won't sign any players"
He's said he doesn't know, and unless we have already signed players then he doesn't ****ing know, does he?
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

Disagree on this. Comolli would be looking at players for LFC and not the manager. My understanding is that Kenny would have the last say on a player coming in. Roy might have had players that he got Comolli and the scouts to look at, but the whole idea of a director of football is that they have a vision for the club and the manager is part of it. But not the most integral part.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostIn fairness, we've had to switch from Roy signings to Kenny signings.
