Who from the Reserves/Academy deserves a chance in the first team?

Tony Barrett mentioned that we shouldn't be surprised if some of our young talents got a chance, so who deserves it and who do you want to get a chance?

I would myself be delighted if Suso, Flanagan and Adorjan got a chance in the first team.

They also play in positions that need strengthening so it would be easier to give them a chance.

I think a lot will be dependent on Injuries to be honest. But I would be happy to see all those 3 on the bench.

Wisdom as well, in fact we have a hell of a lot of youngsters that are real quality and would love to see a couple of them on the bench.

I hope Pacheco gets a proper run out in a attacking position. Amoo & Robinson as well as the ones mentioned.

Sterling is good shout too - he's bloody quick, last ball lets him down at the moment. To be fair he's only 16 though!!!!

Maybe as a sub but he will probably be competing with a large number of players in Kuyt, Maxi and Joe Cole for the attacking midfield positions and Ngog if we go for a more 4-4-2 approach. I guess the suspension for Gerrard might give an opportunity for him or Suso to get some game time.

None of the reserves look like the ideal type of players we need (genuine wingers, PL ready targetmen, defensive midfielders with acceleration). A lot of them have some aspects to their game that could help though.

I think the only player who has a real chance of establishing themselves is Kelly.

It would be interesting to see how Ngoo performed if asked to try being the first team targetman - perhaps coming off the bench for 10 minutes or so.

It's a massive jump from the Academy to the first team, surely they'll had to do their time in the reserves first?

I like big Ngoo but he’s nowhere near ready for first team action. I would consider putting Suso on the bench for a few games towards the end of the season. Fabregas and Messi both broke through at similar ages.

Really hope to see Pacheco given some time to show what he can do. If he doesn't play this season I can see him agitating for a move in the Summer - and who could blame him?

Would also LOVE to see Suso make a couple of cameos.

Reserve subs from last two games…

Everton: Hansen, Flanagan, Robinson, Irwin (Coady 71), Mendy, Wilson, Amoo (Ngoo 55), Suso, Eccleston, Pacheco, Bruna (Roberts 77). Subs: Belford, McGiveron.

Blackpool: Jones, Flanagan, Aurelio (McGiveron 75), Mendy, Irwin, Shelvey (Spearing 45), Pacheco, Suso, Amoo, Bruna (Silva 61), Eccleston. Unused subs: Bouzanis, Ngoo.

No one really jusmps out that hasn’t already been mentioned.

I think Kenny might have a soft spot for Spearing for some reason.

Suso. The odd cameo appearance if we are doing well would be nice.

That's an interesting one, wasn't it rumoured that Kenny was highly involved in recommending him?

I think we have to look at the reserves before picking players from the Academy. As has been mentioned, they need to do their time in the reserves before getting a chance in the first team squad.

From the reserves the obvious ones are players like Ecclestone, Spearing, Shelvey and Pacheco. Suso looks magic but I'd have thought Pacheco would be higher in the pecking order and they play similar positions I think. Amoo looks a threat on the right as well.

What we can't and wont do is play a load at once.

Further along the line I like Wisdom who's injured and also Sterling and Coady.

I'd like to see Wilson & Suso given some game time this season.
