    JonJo Shelvey

What does everyone think of him ?

I know he's young and all that, but so far I think he has been a bit ****.

    JoJon...

Has good potential and love the confidence he has in himself, even if he does **** it up more often than not. Definitely one for the future.

I think he's played not even five full first team games and has shown potential. Enough not to be labelled a bit **** anyways.

Did ok yesterday in his proper position, Roy just shoved him out wide on the few occasions he used him.

I think he'll get more of a run out under Kenny and I don't think Roy was a fan, so it's hard to say just yet..

Judging an 18 year old lad who has jumped up two divisions, and then had a couple of minutes playing in weakened teams for us under Hodgson?!

              I think I'll pass

Very rough atm. Diamond in the rough? Not seen enough of him tbh.

He can obviously play football - can pick out a pass and wotnot - but I worry about his dire lack of athleticism/pace. He's painfully slow. Not that a ball-playing CM needs pace, but his lack of pace is particularly chronic.

                    Was Alonso quick?

Shouldn't this thread be merged with the other one knocking around?

He should look to become a Huddlestone/Alonso type player.

Thought he did well enough yesterday, but what was he thinking with that long range free kick?

Is he really that slow? I know he is not a sprinter type, but he seems to cover the ground ok

at 'run out' but pace isn't everything. Just look at big Jan.

Love the boy's confidence. He's not frightened to have a go and I think he'll be a really good player in time. Still, he's brutally slow.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
