There's definitely the whiff of xenophobia about Aldridge. We'd all like to see a few more local lads break through but they need to be good enough and as for MON as manager, no thank you.

The whole Hodgson debacle has opened my eyes even further to just how either a) Stupid, b) Clueless about football or c) WUM's most of our ex-players are.

Anyone who went to Liverpool v Fulham last year at Anfield would have known what an awful appointment Hodgson was, that coupled with just a little research on his 'Tremendous, successful managerial career' would have seen just how bad he was going to be for Liverpool, yet our ex-players continued to back him. I mean Barnes last week said he still deserved more time!!!!

It was clear at the time that if certain areas of the crowd thought Rafa's football was poor they were going to hate Bodge's style and its the same with MON. His football is frankly appaling.

At the very very least the next manager of our club has to have some history of playing attractive football otherwise he is doomed from day 1.

Seen an interview Barnes made years ago when he talked about Dalglish as a player. He said that Kenny 'wasn't a particularly great technical player', which does add substance to the fact he does talk bollocks from time to time.
