somewhat surprisingly, i couldn't find a thread already going by this name, so i'm making one.

quite interesting that if one believes what one hears, danny wilson will be starting at left back today instead of aurelio or konchesky. konchesky must feel like he's just lost a game of monopoly in the first half an hour.

still not convinced by wilson going by his medicore performances at rangers and his brief apperances for us. However, if tonights rumours are to be true and wilson plays left back then good on him and he hope he does well.......but he is not a left back - he is a left sided centre half.

At his young age I don't think its possible to define his position. Its up to the coaches to mould him into whatever type of player he will be

Hopefully he can prove he's good enough to play for us, as so far he hasn't had many chances. I'd like to think this signals the end of PFK's Liverpool career, but I think someone said he was injured, and Aurelio isn't fit enough to play 2 games in 3 days, so this might explain it. I guess more long term we'll have to see what happens, but it is promising at least, as Hodgson probably wouldn't have given him a chance.

Seriously though, we had two fullbacks playing as CBs in yesterday's reserves. I thought it was Mendy and Wilson until I realised he wasn't even on the bench. I thought he might have been injured like Wisdom and Mavinga, but this rumour could tie in why we didn't see him yesterday.

between wilson and kelly they are prob young enough to be moulded but something i see when i look at them just screams out at me "centre half". maybe it's the players build (they both have the "hyypia" look) or movement or whatever it is.
