Liverpool Football Club would like to offer their congratulations to Glen Johnson and his partner following the birth of their baby boy.
The Reds full-back missed the weekend's FA Cup clash with Manchester United after his partner went into labour before giving birth on Tuesday night.
Everybody at LFC would like to wish Glen, mother and baby Everton all the best at this joyous time.

I'm assuming this is an editThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

'Football is a simple game based on the giving and taking of passes, of controlling the ball and of making yourself available to receive a pass. It is terribly simple.'
Bill Shankly.
