I'm sure there's a player in there somewhere. He can't have fluked those first couple of years. He was a ****ing rock for us, it's easy to forget that. No doubt he's got weaknesses but he's gone from very good to erratic at best. Played well Sunday IMO, and **** again tonight. He's all over the place and you don't know what you're gonna get from him. I would keep him though, I think in a good, confident and well-organised side he can offer something.

on a more serious note, replace GJ with Kelly and then that's about what is worth having in the starting line-up of the current bunch. Carra I would also keep unless we can get another central defender that can organize the defence as well as he does. We have a few decent squad players, but not good enough to be a regular starter, I'm thinking of:

I still think, if we give it time, a team containing any majority of the following Pepe, Johnson, Aurelio, Kelly, Carra, Agger, Skrtel, Lucas, Raul M, Cole, Kuyt, Gerrard & Torres, will prove to be a good side.

Skrtel, bar his early jitters against H&W, was very good in his first, what, 18 months/2 years under Rafa. He's shot to pieces now IMO, one of the players affected by the malaise. A man of his size ought to be dominant in the air but he isn't. He's **** in the air. And he's so ****ing brainless at times.

Well said Shaggy, he can go along with Aurelio and Johnson in Defence because their form shows that they are $h!te Playera IMO, personally, i think Johnsons days are numbered as Kelly seems to be getting stronger and stronger with every game he plays.

I hear ya mate, my problem with him is he is a massive guy but he is appalling in the air. I think he's very prone to a clumsy rash tackle, not great on the deck either.

I dunno, IMO we need better than him.

He's got mobility, so we can play a higher line and condense the play, instead of waiting like ****houses on the edge of our own box. We've got to play the same way for an extended period so all the players can get some rhythm and understanding. And the training has to be more football oriented.
