i am not disagreeing with you on that. from our perspective it was right, just from an owners it may not be.

What I meant was, he epitomises what being a LFC manager is. His press conferences, man management and even the football we've been playing, has been spot on, like glimpses from our glorious past. That's romanticism for me and Kenny knew that if he got that right at the beginning, he'd get everyone pulling together.

Yes, that can equally be classed as pragmatism, but I'm not sure I like that word. Rafa was too often tagged as a pragmatist as well and it was never made as a compliment.
So you have admitted he is a pragmatist, but we can't call him that because you don't like the word.
      Oh I don't know.

Yeah I know mate, but that doesn't mean he might be difficult to work with. As someone said, successful managers are very demanding and rightly so IMO. You can't have agreeing yes men and expect success all the time, I'm sure Kenny isn't one of them as well.

Not from my angle it wasn't, but I get your point.

Thing about Rafa is he would drop Meireles for the next game, I'm almost 100% sure of it. Just to knock him back a peg or two.

I agree but it just happens to be the natural human reaction to it.

                            Reina
                            Crouch
                            Torres
                            Mascherano
                            Arbeloa

Problem was, by the time he left, 4 of them got fed upand wanted to leave, and he failed to replace them with quality. His legacy was two great players. Its just as easy to say Houllier left us with Hyypia and Hamman. Beyond that, Im not at all happy with either squads quality. Agger is his only other signing still here that I would call good... if he can stay fit for more than 10 minutes.

When Benitez was good, he was great. But that time had been and gone. I am far from convinced that it would be good to see him return. How would Torres, Gerrard and Reina feel about him coming back? For all he did for the club, he never had a close relationship with the players, and I think we risk alienating the squad if he came back... apart from Kuyt.
That analysis ignores the damage from the previous owners and the negative impact they had on Rafa's plans/ ambitions. I'm not saying that as an argument for his return but as it stands you statement is grossly simplistic.

If you have a good mentality then being dropped sometimes wouldn't be a problem at all. The players that accept that the manager is the boss and that they aren't bigger than the club have no problem being rotated.

It is the big egos that have a problem with that and they should be shipped out as soon as possible.

Thats because its totally irrelevant to the point that I was making. None of those players left because of the owners. The negativity in the squad did not come from the ownership issue, anymore than it did under Hodgeson, otherwise results would have improved since. The negativity came from the dressingroom, the players, the tactics, and the management.
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.
