What would you call it then? I mean a simple square pass, followed by an easy finish goal. The archetypical 'cheap Pro Evo goal', if you willOriginally posted by Craig_H View PostYer wha?
WTF is a 'pull back goal' ? Have you gone all yank on us?

I see, i get ya
Totally misread the context of it - i thought you might've been meaning a goal where we 'pull back' from being behind and win. Hence, i didnt really know what the hell you were on about
But yes, get you entirely now. And yeah, they're so simple and effective and we dont score many of those type of goals.

you need two players attacking at once, so it's no real surprise we haven't seen many.

in this thread and rightly so, a heartening performance and result, although they had us well hemmed in in our defensive third for long periods in the 2nd half. Onwards and upwards!
Got this sweet wager up, cheers Nando..

Great post fella.................not even Craig can argue with that!Originally posted by Craig_H View PostThe proper Liverpool, finally. Good passing and moving football, a winning mentality, none of this ****ty 'if we can nick a goal great, but if not, a draw will be good' bull****.
Defended as a unit, spirit was there again, confidence slowly returning, good tempo. Delightful.
So delighted for Meireles, he's had some criticism from the odd divvy, but he's a class act and he's still adjusting, but he stamped his authority on today's game superbly. Seemed to almost be playing a bit of a free role in the 2nd half and he influenced things more than anyone.
Goal last week, great assist and superb goal this week - he's going to be a wonderful player and will hopefully start proving the wallies wrong.
And also, for all those in the match thread slating the team and coming out with all the negative drivel before we'd even kicked off today, how about showing a little faith in future before chucking the toys out the pram.
All this OTT talk of 'massive overhauls' and other such ****e has been just that - melodramatic and kneejerk.
The bulk of this squad, when guided properly, are plenty good enough to challenge for a top four place. A couple of quality additions and we have enough to challenge for the title. The key is using the right system, adopting a proper winning mentality and knowing how to interact properly with the players, in order to make them feel 10 foot tall, and make them believe.
Kenny has that in abundance, the whole 'magic wand' thing with Torres proved that. He makes the players believe in themselves, he gets them thinking that they're all brilliant and he makes them enjoy their football.
It was never about major overhaul. It was ALWAYS about recognising the quality in the players we do have and having a manager who knows how to get it out of them - Kenny is that man.
Some will say "it's only Wolves" - but it was only Wolves who guffed us at anfield, it was only Stoke who beat us comfortably at their place, it was only Blackburn who ripped us at Ewood.
The proper Liverpool would regularly go to places like Wolves and win comfortably, with something to spare - that was what we did today. We were never in any genuine trouble and i'd even go as far as to use the word 'easy'. It was easy today because we played the way we should and the way we can - all courtesy of a proper manager who knows what he is doing. Doesnt matter that he'd been out of the game so long, man-management hasnt changed, confidence building hasnt changed, keeping the ball and creating chances hasnt changed, instilling belief hasnt changed, and getting a squad unified with good spirit hasnt changed.
Kenny's the man and if people give him time, he'll show everyone that this squad doesnt need a major overhaul at all. Just some tweaking and a bit of work in the mentality side of things.
****ing have that Sky, you cunts. Have that all you Hodgson bumming ****ers. Have that all the nay-sayers. And anyone else who wants it.
Kenny's back. Liverpool are on their way back. With the owners backing, we'll be back before too long.
Who's that coming up the hill boys? You know who. I know who. The media know who. And they hate it.
The Reds are coming up the hill, boys.
****ing well have that.

Nice to see a bit of actual analysis, as opposed to the guff SkySports peddle on a weekly basis.
