    Taken from the website:

Soccerex will return to the magnificent Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai between 26-28 November this year.

Doesn't seem to be related to this then.

According to theses sources he's only worth 250million!

      QUOTE
Montreal: George Gillett was reportedly worth a cool billion in the early 90s when he financed his portfolio of ski resorts through Michael Milken and his junk bond factory. When Milken, Ivan Boesky, and the junk bond market crashed, Gillett lost it all, filing for bankruptcy. He had since re-built his net worth back up to $250 million through another set of ski resorts and the meat processing industry by the time he successfully bid $250 million Canadian for 80% of Le Club de Hockey Canadien and 100% of the Bell Centre, then known as the Molson Centre (the Molson family, the 68th wealthiest in Canada with assets in excess of $440 million Canadian, retains 20% of team).

It's not just about his personal wealth tho, it's about the money he's bringing in most likely from a consortium.

I still don't think this one sounds right tho.

Lots of smoke around this one though. I guess we'll see in time.

I think this is a lot more substantial than Dunkin's "L4 consortium". To think he had people changing their avatars and all sorts....

It's Dubai Holdings for me - with free flights for all season ticket holders with their national airline
              Liverpool born and bred.

the arab deal ( know outed as Dubai Holdings) has been doing the rounds for years.

If the Ruling Family are Al Maktoum ( or summat similar) and are involved with the Godolphin Racing Horses it ties in with several rumours from the past few years

if this is correct then this one may have some credence

Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

Just found this on Trade Arabia (via Google)

Dubai Holdings ‘bidding for Liverpool FC’
                      Posted: Sunday, October 22, 2006

                      London

Dubai Holdings has emerged as a leading bidder for Liverpool Football Club, The Sunday Telegraph newspaper reported, without citing sources.

The Sunday Telegraph said Dubai Holdings had renewed its interest in the club after walking away from negotiations earlier in the year.

Liverpool Chairman David Moores, who owns a 51 per cent stake in the club, values its parent company at 300 million pounds ($565 million), the newspaper said.

Other interested parties in Liverpool include Belfast property millionaire John Miskelly and an unnamed U.S. company, the newspaper added.

yes, but they spent more than chelsea doing it. just imagine meadowlark lemon (bad spelling) as manager and curly as is assistant.

you've made a few fatal errors here Fredo

I made a few avatars up for Dunk and used an avatar that contained Morgan, Jeffries, Kenny and Parry i think also Moores, may still have it actually.

I have actually been in contact with Jeffries after I followed it up (by a couple of emails that said very little about taking over)

Jeffries was in contact with LFC, thats genuine, Was L4 in with Koptalk?

Dont know but i do know Dunk had been in contact with Jeffries as Jeffries sent a mass email out with a lot of names attached, Dunk being one of them and Paul Dalglish another. Mono was also on that email list if I recall and he is a member on here so will back that up.
