    Interesting stat

    Was just reading something before and the only other time we played with Crouch,Kuyt,Garcia,Gerrard in the same starting line up was the Glatassary game where as i'm sure everyone remembers we were drubbing them 3-0, untill we started to loose it a bit.

    So should we always be going with these as a front 4?

    Gerrard will probably always be in the team (although he was in the middle for the Gala game if I recall, he would normally be on the right), Kuyt looks to have earned himself a starting place. Crouch came in and did the job again yesterday, and even Garcia looked good on the left a mom candidate for me in fact..

    So should Bellamy be used sparingly, in favour or a Kuyt Crouch front 2? And should Garcia start more games on the left, regardless of wether they are home or away, or in Europe or not? Or is Garcia only good for the left in the champs leage and at home?

    At the moment - while the team is functioning as it should (yesterday apart) then the answer for that would be a yes IMO; strange for a current spanish international.

        Our best pair for me. Okay there's not much pace there, but they're our best two strikers. They both use the ball well, retain possession, they're a goal threat, they're strong and both a good outlet, and they're both intelligent players.

          Kuyt seems to willing to work well with whoever he is up front with.

            thinking about crouch's goal.......... he sort of hit it into the ground where the ball picked up some spin and curved into the bottom corner ( whether intentioinal or not)

            Think back to this time last season, when Crouch couldn't buy a goal

            how times change?

              couldn't have put it better meself. proof that pure pace is not the b all and end all.

                Too right. I reckon Bellamy's "pace" would be better utilised coming off the bench for the last 20 minutes to stretch tired legs. For the next few games we must stick with our best two players up top, and they are clearly Crouch & Kuyt.
