I wonder if the Chelsea bid for Torres played a part in this. Maybe FSG felt they had to up the bid to keep Torres happy or to be sure that they have a replacement in place when Torres leaves in the summer.

If this is the cause then I hope we didn't give in too much, that we didn't show we're weak negotiators.

I was very impressed with him at the World Cup and as you say some of the finishes on these youtube clips are sensational - a complete variety. Very Fowleresque in his finishing yet i think Suarez is stronger and probably faster than Robbie ever was.

The most optimistic i've been about a signing since Torres

Yeah I backed him (each way, top scorer) in the World Cup so watched him closely. He was very good. Ended up with 3 or 4 goals.

Anyone fancy doing a line up with Suarez in it? I can't make my mind up yet.
