Very good movement, intelligent use of the ball, always keen to give and then go for the next pass and showed a good turn of pace/acceleration, plus good touch. Very promising.

One thing i do love about him already, compared to someone else i could mention, is how he doesnt have this egotistical 'i have to beat 6 defenders and do everything on my own' nonsense.

He took on defenders, but when the more simple (right) ball was on, he played it nearly every time.

Think he will be quality. Cant wait to see him paired up with Carroll. AC in the Kuyt role tonight, whilst not offering the same workrate, should be brilliant.

Held the ball up really well too. Willing to get is body between the ball and the man and holds his own.

Lookin forward to watching him week in week out.

i think i'm the only one who didn't think suarez had a fantastic match today. don't get me wrong, i still think he's class and he'll be a big player for us, but he looked incredibly timid. he was doing his thing with the flicks and touches, but i think after some more game time they'll start coming off better when he's not so afraid to fail. also he really should've taken his goal cleanly and it was a massive error from the defender not to make that clearance.

all signs point to awesome, but i'm not sure i back him to pull up any trees in an away game against chelsea. it may be too soon for him. maybe if he starts, he'll get the jitters out and come into some real form later in the game.

You are not the only one but you cannot expect too too much from the player that is not match sharp (hasn't played since December) and that never played a single minute in PL.

To me he showed glimpses of what superb player he is. Great movement without the ball, great first touch, does not drag the ball too long, lots of trickery, can pass, good vision, good teamwork etc. all in all very intelligent player and good showing in his first game.

I think we got the winner and he will prove that on the pitch.

Compare and contrast with a moody Spaniard who not having played for a few weeks takes about 10 games before you see a sniff of a goal threat or even remote interest.
