You think he's good now, wait till he's surrounded by good players, gonna be awesome.

By the end of next season people will be saying Suarez is the best player in the country.

he oozes class. He has skill and footballing intelligence to burn and is fast and athletic. And unusually for a flair player he is a hard, mad ******* who cannot be kicked and bullied out of the game.

Best signing in years. And that includes the guy who just went to Chelsea

will be interesting how he copes when defenders get used to him.

will he kick on and develop further? and keep on the same wavelength as his team mates?

        i certainly hope so

looks a brilliant little player. was hoping he was going to be one of those rare players that can take the kicks, run and avoid injuries but then....groin.

best in that position since beardsley.

but that ****ing song the fans sing is tedious. well it comes across that way on the computer. may be better live.

I'll say it again, he's got more than Torres.

            Crossing: Suarez 1-0 Torres
            Finishing: About Equal
            Determination: Suarez 1-0 Torres
Desire to win: Suarez 1-0 Torres
Dirty Scumbag Traitor: Torres 1-0 Suarez

Always annoys me when people refer to the heavyweight boxing legend and former liverpool player as Joe Louie and not Louis.

Come on mate. I hate Torres as much as the next man, but let's not kid ourselves into thinking he's a **** player. Torres' finishing ability has got to be rated higher. The guy broke all sorts of goal scoring records for us!

Also, I would say that Torres is more suited to playing up front on his own compared with Suarez.

On current form, there's no question who's the better footballer. But Torres is too good to keep playing like this for long. A couple of months ago most of us on here were of the opinion he was the best striker in the world.

Such a shame we never got to see Torres / Suarez play together. Could have been out of this world. Hold similar hopes for Carroll but it's going to take some time

True, but I didn't say he was a **** player! I only said Suarez was better. Torres was good but his work rate isn't like Suarez. I guess the point im making is Suarez is a more complete player, in that, he's got more to his game than Torres. Torres is a lethal finisher and for the type of player he is, there's not many better. I already think having Carroll and Suarez is better than having Torres though. Give's us options we didn't have and we won't just rely on Torres to win us games single handedly anymore. No denying Torres is good but in my opinion we are more in need of Suarez.

Difficult to judge a player after 6 games vs someone who literally took the league by the storm since he joined us.

In some areas Suarez is better (good left and right foot, free kick specialist, better dribbler, more aggressive, natural leader, not afraid of challenge etc.) while Nando was better in others (better in the air, natural finisher, more pace etc.).

Both are good players and it is truly unfortunate that we will never have a chance to see what partnership they could have formed but having Carroll instead I feel very excited about.

Off the topic, happy birthday LDH

                      All the best Little Dave.

That's interesting isn't it as when Gerrard was missing for us people excused Torres as he didn't get the quality balls that Stevie provided. Here we have Luis Suarez playing without Gerrard and he's getting all the rave reviews cause he not only scores goals (2 + 2 posts) but has 4 assists in his 6 matches so far.

                          Fernando who ?

Good start by Luis but he needs to be concistant to be classed anywhere near the level Torres reached for us. If he excels for us over the course of the remainder of this season, then maybe we can then think of comparing the two. As of now, there is no comparison - just a great start.

On another note, what I love most about him is his willingness to chase everything. I remember Reading that he never considered the premier league as a possible destination until he saw Tevez become a hit. To me it seems he's looked at what made Tevez a hit and has gone about his business in exactly the same manner.

I think that attitude alone can make an average player extremely usefull to a side, so that attitude in a player of the ability of Suarez will work wonders. Let's hope he can keep pushing forwards.

Probably the best start to a Liverpool career that I can remember

WTGOR that would be Torres. Absolutely no doubt about it for me.
