Moores and Parry are to blame for our current predicament.

we are actually more of a soap opera than that ****ing dream team that used to be on sky one years ago lol

for us - tho - imo, it's started when we stopped winning the title regularly - after such dominance and always eing involved in title challenges or winning it - it just stopped, we started a downward spiral and the media/rival clubs/fans have just loved sticking the boot in - as the game exploded if you like with sky and the premirship and then the internet, and still no league titles it's just got worse and worse for us year on year - fa cups carling cups and the champions league/uefa helped ease the pain/paper over the cracks - but until we win the league again and then get ourselves into a position as one of the top say 2 maybe 3 sides in the leaue - we will continue to be everyones favourite drama club
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

One theory could be is that the hierarchy of the Media, Sky, Journos etc are largely football fans who are in their 40s/50s. They will have spent most of their formative years having to watch the teams they supported getting battered week in week out by the mighty teams assembled by Bill, Bob, Joe and KK. They would have had to watch Liverpool trample British &European opposition underfoot. Truth is we're disliked in general by this generation. Their dislike is now reflected in the way LFC is now treated by the media. Gray and his mate are prime examples of this. Everything we do is scrutinised and blown out of proportion. Backhanded compliment really.
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

With all the spice boy ****, you could argue that it dates back to Roy Evans. But then with Souness 'knocking us off our perch' it probably started there.

Dalglish is back now, and it feels 'right' again. Hope to god he stays in the Summer.

When did we become a media circus, when did we cease being LFC?
Eh? It's all part and parcel of football these days and as LFC indicates, we are still Liverpool FOOTBALL club.

The ownership situation was obviously a bit extreme, but not too dissimilar to the United situation and arguably not as bad as Newcastle. Then for obviously different reasons you have City and Chelsea which really have made a joke of the Premiership. It's 2011, you'll just have to get used to it.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

When we were sold to G+H. But we became everyones favourite target when we started to decline after Dalglish left.

I wouldn't class us a circus, but it all went downhill the day souness was appointed as manager.
