The ****e a outrages story like this can cause is unbelievable!
Its a bare faced lie based on the above link from AL and Stevie and Rafa should make a c*nt of this jorno tomm.
Do a big interview with Bascombe and shove this crap down everyones throats.
Ive had countless bluenoses who today "know for a fact" that Stevie is unhappy and is virtually at Madrid. Says it all really!

newspapers should be made to publish sources in future, surely we can investigate this as a club, and find out where the crap came from for definate and publish it in the echo or summat, and force the papers to retract it.

Anny road on YNWA give a bit more detail. Apparantly the story was offered to a number of papers, most of who knocked it back after finding out where it was coming from.
i know for a FACT that a national newspaper was contacted on Saturday by someone asking to spealk to Matt Dockinson with a story about Liverpool, they were put onto Oliver Kay who investigated the source and dismissed it as mischeif making by another club......they ignored it..........
I did find it interesting that this was supposedly a massive news story that was going to be right across the back pages of all the Sunday papers and yet only 2 papers carried it, both from the same stable.
I'm amazed that Man U are behind it though. I would have thought it would have been the work of Chelsea, or more likely Real Madrid. I dont see what Man U thought they would possibly gain from it. I mean Gerrard is never going to go there - plus wouldn't he know if he fell out with Rafa? Unless they're trying to turn the fans against Stevie.
The most laughable thing about the article was how Gerrard was pissed off playing on the right for Liverpool, but he's more than happy to do it for Steve McLaren :whatever:
