Time will tell but the amount they would have to pay, probably a few billion pounds, means that it is a no starter.

They would have to pay out the CL TV deal for example, only that is worth at least a couple of billion pounds. Then they would have to pay other damages.

Then FIFA would hit every club that walked away with a transfer ban. They would also have to pay out a lot of other TV deals because they would be banned to play in the national leagues.

The Sky TV deal is worth a few billion pounds.

It would simply cost to much money to break away and start a new league.

I praise a player when they deserve praise and I slag them off when they deserve it, local lad or no local lad.

I have always done that and will continue to do that. The ones that know me all the way back from my old Koptalk days 10 years or so ago until now know that I have always done that.

Carra and Gerrard have deserved to be slagged off a lot the last 18 months but I have also praised them during that time. If they had played better then I would have praised them a lot more.

is it jut me or did everyone on the team look happier without sulky-cunt on the pitch??? see the team celebrating like hell after raul's goal..... gerrard looked way happier, as did lucas...... it's obvious that the camp was divided with 'el cunt' in the camp whereas already we look more of a team......

also, kuyt hasn't played so well for us in about 2 years...... he looked like a new player and although he has always been rightly valued for the hard work he puts in, i think it might be about time we played him as a striker instead of a right midfielder again......maybe we could end up playing with a 4-3-3 or else maybe he will be our 3rd choice striker but hopefully there will be so many games to go around that he will be happy with that...... you can see kenny's influence already - kuyt showed all the enthusiasm of when he first graced the pitch for us (remember him coming on as a sub for his debut and running around like a lunatic!!!)

i am pleased with the attacking play and also i must say that 3 clean sheets in a row is brilliant.....however, it was Wolves, Fulham and Stoke - a real test will come on sunday but as i've already said, the team talk was done for that game at 10pm on monday night......win this and we can dare to dream!!!

Another point i would like to make is this: we should not forget about Insua and Aquilani. Obviously the deal for Aqua is done so if he wants to stay and Juve want him then we can't do anything about it but i reckon that Commoli / Kenny should consider reaching out to both players. Particularly Insua - he has been in Argentina squads already - and he is so young that if we gave him another chance and it didn't work out, his value will probably stay something similar to what it is now anyway..... i just think that when you look at the impact Kelly has had under KD, then Insua should maybe try his luck again. I think he had to play too much last year - look at Rafael at ManU, they were able to gently phase him in and they are seeing the rewards for that now - we didn't have the same luxury with Insua......

The lads on LFC TV after the match were talking about staying with 3 at the back on Sunday. I thought tonight's formation was designed with Stoke in mind. It worked pretty well but I'd go back to 4 at the back on Sunday.
