I used to do this when I was young when I was training for my school team; it's fantastically enjoyable. Our coach was a Liverpool fan.
unfortunately the players we had at that time were very talented but had little to no respect for the boss, now they have and that's the difference

It's great there's some footage of these sessions.

Is it legal to lie along the crossbar?

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Hodgson tried to make us hard to beat, but our defending was awful and we were static! No plan never mind plan B. Kenny has been a breath of fresh air and its nice to completely trust a manager, if Hodgson was still here the loss of Torres would be a much bigger blow. Kenny's system has made it so we are not waiting for a Gerrard/Torres peice of magic to win a game, we are creating chances.

There were a couple of nice passages last night with Lucus playing one-2's and getting a shooting chance for Dirk. And as Hansen said last night KD is going to love Suarez, he didn't stop running whilst he was on the pitch.

So far Dalglish is making it impossible for NESV to think of anyone else in the summer, he has transformed the club in the space of 4 weeks.

I believe he already has the job sewn up, based on merit. He is the shining light in our club, he is doing an unbelevable job.

Looking very bright for the future. Young players like Suso will find it easier to fit into this team given the style of football we are playing and it really does feel like the true Liverpool way is coming back.
Totally agree - who wouldn't want to play in a team like that??

If we beat the chav cunts on sunday with this type of football, i think I'll cry....

**** me am I excited about this. It's one of the reasons Germany went so far. They never stop running and giving the man in possession options while moving the game forward.

Very rarely do they dwell on the ball or move the ball backwards.

Spain are more patient but again they are always moving and waiting for the gap.

I'm seriously considering buying a Liverpool shirt next season.
              Steady.

In fact you're 100% wrong. Hodgson did come in and killed the team's morale with his awful two banks of four sitting deep, no pressing anywhere on the pitch, letting the opposition have the ball and when we got possession just hoof it aimlessly a la Carragher anywhere up the pitch

I am with michelmas on this one......we had an underperforming side who I beleive had stopped playing for the manager and lacked unity.

He just took that team and made it worse and weakend the squad with his transfers.

                        Bodge blatantly exacerbated the situation.

Spot on that mate. Obviously to play the Barca way you have to have some seriously talented footballers who play together on a regular basis. Key for Spain in the world cup was the two CB's, the DM and two CM's in front all played for Barca. You could tell they knew exactly what they were all doing and controlled the games.

But you can still play an effective attacking and pressing game with less talented players, it just takes a lot of willing and knowing when to press and when to allow a team mate to press so the team isn't completely dragged out of position.

Pressing is what we failed to do under Hodgson and it showed. It invited pressure from the opposition and meant that when we did win the ball we were deep in our own half and not in a position to hurt the opposition.
                          Forwards.......

I think his ideas were flawed and were never going to work with the team he inherited. Once the players figured that out they lost belief and the team suffered even more.

His Jurasic tactics were never going to work with our squad.
