Just realized that I’ve missed Kuyt from my post match comments.


Next time I hear someone discredit his value to the team by saying ‘hard work is a minimum requirement for any footballer’, I’ll have to refer them to that performance. Up front on his own and probably did more work and covered more ground than his three opposite numbers put together. Excuses were constantly made for Torres that he didn’t get enough service and was isolated up top on his own, but Kuyt bullied Terry for 90 minutes and chased every lost cause for us today. Think he maybe suffered a bit of a world cup and Hodgson hangover earlier in the season but that’s two good performances back to back now.

Edit: He had no shots at all today as our only forward and he was still boss.

Couldn't agree more. Kuyt is becoming a key player, everyone needs to take that on board, he's done really well for us, fair play.
