And if we cant get 4th, i'd rather finish outside the europa places.
which means what ? 8th 9th ........that would mean us losing more games and a real loss of form.No thanks as strong a finish as possible please even if it means the europa league next season

Nah it's not Matt, it's a ****e competition, ****ty sunday games in the league, players playing too much and will impact negatively on our league campaign, without bringing in much money - it's not worth the hassle.

Bender - it wouldnt need to be 8th or 9th, 7th would do it. If Brum win the Carling Cup (unlikely) and none of the sides above us win the FA Cup, it could even be 6th.

Can't agree mate, winning it would be more than worth it (especially as it is all we can win)!

It's a big commitment of time and players energies, and with no guarantee of winning it, i cant be arsed with it.

Pain the backside having sunday games all the ****ing time.

Fair enough, I don't think Sunday wise it makes a massive difference to us as we get a **** load of games on TV anyway. I enjoy the European football over no European football too. It is still a good competition to win.

It makes a difference to me getting home at 10pm-10:30pm on a sunday when i've got work the next day.

See that is not an issue for me as I can see Anfield from my balcony.

Hate Sunday games unless it's a big fixture like playing the Scum, Merseyside Derby, Chelsea/Arsenal.

pleased at least the Manure game is a 13:30 kick off rather than a 4 pm game!

From a financial standpoint its better to be in the UEFA cup than not particularly with the FFPR coming in

Remember its what £750K per position in the Premier League on top of this as well

                          Add on gate receipts etc..

All of it counts and every penny will be needed if we are to meet the FFPR and move forward

We could win the Europa League this year and try to retain it next year...
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

That really doesnt fill me with much joy. Win it this year by all means, but i really dont want to be in it next year. I know we would be if we won it, but meh.

Yep and if we win it we get the outright record for winning more than anyone else (we currently share the record with Inter)
