I have a better plan. Let's win as many of our remaining games as possible and see where we end up.

I'm not saying we'll definitely do it. But let's at least make attaining a top four place a problem for the other teams'.

Never give up until it's mathematically impossible.

      Yes. Exactly.

I have to hold my hands up and say i got a little carried away after the Chelsea win, saying we still had a chance of 4th place.

In fairness it's very easily done although hindsight's a wonderful thing isn't it.

We should be looking for a solid 6th placed finish and try to play some good footie along the way

We just need to concentrate on ourselves, I look at the fixtures remaining and I can't see Spurs being caught but I can see us catching the plastics, they've got some horrible games coming up - I would hope and expect a minimum of 6th but back of my mind thinking we can catch those ****ers!

Er, i don't think anyone here airing their views on where we might finish is saying the team should give up.

Obviously the team needs to concentrate on playing well and getting as many points, that go's without saying; or should, it's just a discussion on whether fans think we'll make 4th, the team i hope..go's out and tries to win every game regardless, a few fans saying they think we won't quite make 4th does not equate to the team giving up, no one will be giving up under Kenny.

I hope we can get 4th but being realistic, Kenny was left with Mount Everest to climb when he took over - all the boys can do is go out and try and win every game and count the points at the end of the season

I would imagine that the squad appreciate 4th is unlikely. But they will also know that 4th is still mathematically possible, so there is no point in giving up...

So go for it lads, prove to us all that we have a championship challenging team in the making, show to us supporters that our unwavering support over the last 18 months has been worth it. I don't mind if we fail in a quest for 4th, I only mind if we give up. 11 games left = 11 potential wins. Anything is possible, it is a weak league and those above us will most likely drop points, we just have to be in a position to capitalise.

the annoying thing is, because of everyone doing so badly, it's even harder to get into the top four :@
                    nobody has really capitalised.

I'm just hoping spurs will concentrate top much on champs league, and in turn let their league form slip.

I think that we can still finish 4th, I don't care if the Manc tw@ts win the league, although it'll break my heart i'm surprised it didn't happen last season, so we need to quit grasping onto the past and look to the future.

make sure we keep hold of our key players, spend a bit in the summer and I think we can challenge for the league next year and so on.

we have had so many chances to catch up when the teams above us have tripped up, but we never seem to be able to take the win at that time.

For me, Chelsea are easily passable. Its Spurs who we need to fail. I can't see it happening unfortunately.

I think Spurs could also drop the points. We just wont win 10 from our last 11.

Actually, looking at the fixtures, with City 10 ahead of us (same number of games played), does anyone think they may actually be catchable?

If we win against them it would be a further 7 points to take out of them. Chelsea City draw would be on the cards and if we won that week it would be 5 more points. Then we would be hoping for Sunderland Tottenham, Everton and West Ham, the latter two fighting the relegation battle to maybe take points off them?

I am also waiting for Everton to go on that ridiculous run of wins they normally go on against the top teams, they do it every year and it seems at least once a season they will top the form table.

City also have to play Spurs, as well as face potentially tricky away games at Everton & Bolton.

I still think their lack of team spirit and unity may make things a bit tight for them.
