And I wouldn't be suprised if cracks started to appear and they gave away games late on.

I think they will fail to win AT LEAST one of the games they have before we play them. If not two.Originally posted by Fernandinho View PostAnd I wouldn't be suprised if cracks started to appear and they gave away games late on.
I honestly think that loss at Man Utd, and with it, the end of their title bid, could do them some major damage psychologically. They are the kind of team who will put up with each other and fake unity when things are running smoothly, but as soon as things go tits up, the cracks will start to show, and a few of them will start not giving a ****.

I think we could potentially challenge for the title next season, if we buy well in the summer.

We still have some seriously tough games left to play:
- West Ham (A)
- United (H)
- Sunderland (A)
- West Brom (A)
- City (H)
- Arsenal (A)
- Birmingham (H)
- Newcastle (H)
- Fulham (A)
- Spurs (H)
- Villa (A)
That is an extremely tough fixture list, West Ham, West Brom,Villa (won't go down but tough away game), Birmingham all fighting relegation at the moment. City, Spurs going for champs league qualification, Arsenal & United going for the league, Sunderland going for Europa and been excellent at home this season.
4th spot is a pipe dream, i'd love it to happen but its horribly unrealistic, short of some epically serious foul up's from City/Spurs/Chelsea and us practically winning every game, which is not going to happen.
We can dream but i'd be happy if we finished 5th above Chelsea or a strong 6th finish, with all the ****e that has gone of this season, a strong finish and a new look team come next season, happy days.

I completely agree that all the other will drop points but we will too.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostDan - it's obviously dependent on us going on what'd be an incredible run, yes.
I think the other teams will drop the points though. I agree that us winning 10 or even all 11 of our games is massively unlikely.
Don't get me wrong i'd love it to happen but personally i'd still be happy with a strong 5th or 6th place finish.

For the remainder of the season it's about picking up as many points as possible, playing some exciting football and looking for positives going forward into next season - Suarez and Carroll settling into the team, maybe a youngster coming through, or whatever.
In the summer, we all know the areas where we need to strengthen. Honestly think we need about 5 new players.
- Have to remember a fair few will leave as well.

spot on mate. I reckon you'd be right about 4-5-6 players coming in too, as we will have a minor exodus of the likes of Poulsen/Aqua/Konch/Jovo/Insua, pretty much bankers. Then there is others like Ngog/Cole/Kyriagkos/Kuyt who may be sold on.
I'm looking forward to our dealings in the summer, its the first time in years that i've really felt confident that we are going to get rid of a lot of **** and replace them with much better players. Exciting times, but as you said a strong finish, pick up as many points as possible and hopefully our position come the end of the season is strong enough to even attract the best of players, even if we can't offer champs league footie which can be a massive issue.
