Nah, i had £43 worth of train vouchers which expire in March Had them for about a year, so i finally needed to get my arse into gear and use them

Trains are quicker, but the return fare to Liverpool from London is now £71. And a full tank of petrol in my car basically gets me from London to Liverpool and back, and costs about £55-£60.

A difference of £11-£16 doesnt seem much, but multiply it by about 20 or more trips per season, and it adds up.

With the trains, i also have to get to Euston station, so that's another £6 odd for a travelcard. Plus, i dont have to worry about being late - the car leaves when i do, unlike the trains
