Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

As someone said in another thread (Shaggy maybe?) the Chelsea fans seem(ed) more concerned Sunday with celebrating the fact that they had took our best player and talisman from us than actually thinking about where and how he was gonna play for their own team. They really thought you just had to dress him in blue and send him out and he'd score a hatful. The clueless ****s really thought it was that simple. I'd laugh my cock off if he reported back to Chelsea this week with one of his dodgy hamstring knocks.I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

That's been my experience too. When I point out that he has tended to play on his own up front and to have a particular formation around him to maximise his usefulness to the team, they look at me blankly...before saying - and seemingly genuinely believing - that, having seen him play for 60 minutes on Sunday and despite what they surely must have seen over the last few years, he is just another in the long line of rubbish strikers that Chelsea have bought. Chelsea fans have always amazed me with their ignorance, but to liken Torres to Chris Sutton or Kezman just leaves me gobsmacked.Originally posted by wavydavy View PostAs someone said in another thread (Shaggy maybe?) the Chelsea fans seem(ed) more concerned Sunday with celebrating the fact that they had took our best player and talisman from us than actually thinking about where and how he was gonna play for their own team. It's exactly the opinion that Hodgson had though...just bung him up top and expect him to score goals.Originally posted by Paul12 View PostThat's been my experience too.
