Dalglish looking to sign Bobby Mimms as goalkeeping coach

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is keen on taking Blackburn Rovers goalkeeping coach Bobby Mimms to Anfield.

Mimms made over 150 appearances for Rovers during a spell from December 1990 to June 1996, in which he landed a Premier League title winners’ medal in 1995 under Dalglish.

He returned to the Rovers coaching staff in August 2008 after seven years with Wolves.

My resonding memory of Bobby Mimms is him getting beaten by Rushy in the 86 FA cup final and the camera being knocked over in the back of the goal, didn't think much of him as a keeper but as a coach who knows!

Well, if he's learnt anything...he's done it the hard way then!
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

I have no idea whether or not this would be good. But rumours about Reina + new goalkeeping coach...

It's probably just coincidence but if there is a link then I'd guess the causation runs Reina to Mimms rather than the other way round.

In other words, perhaps getting Mimms in is the first (or next) step in replacing Reina.

I'm just trying to cheer you all up. :bird:

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

I've seen us being linked with Mimms before, I can't remember if it was during Benitez's or Houllier's era. Also, I can't remember if it was Houllier or Rafa who booted out Joe Corrigan, but I'm pretty sure we were in for Mimms at some point during the last 10 years.
            Are we winning?

just because mimms wasnt the best goalkeeper doesnt mean he cant coach well

however seems strange but the club know more about what is going on than we do

Yeah, it's easy to feel underwhelmed but it's probably just familiarity breeding contempt.

I will always associate Mimms with letting that one through his legs.

Obviously the club will be on top of it but with Reina's trusted former coach and big mate Xavi Valero being at home on Merseyside and doing nothing, it does seem crazy not to bring him back.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Yes, unless my theory has some merit...

i suppose the club is moving on from rafas time here .

also the problem with getting valero is when rafa gets another job will he move with him?
