Amazes me why you care so much Craig, are you not able to just glance at such posts, giggle, ignore...and move on, it's what i do, and i'm sure it's what others do to.

I would do that, but there's about 50 of them throughout the thread, so when you're trying to read the thread normally and it's infested with that stuff, it makes things impossible.

It's just words, just laugh at what you know to be silly talk and move on, don't argue the point constantly, there are surely better posts out there worthy of a response, why do people waste so much time arguing with posters they know wont change the opinion they have.


edit: tbf, i don't mind the constant battle of words, so long as it remains humourous and does'nt descend into real insults, and does'nt decimate whole threads...er..what thread is this again ?

Craig must hammer down his opinion 100 times or so in every thread. I say my opinion and then leave it at that. I don't argue that much about it. I explain my point. If you see a thread then you can be almost certain that Craig posted almost every tenth post in it. He must argue about EVERYTHING.

bit late to this thread! but after the match saturday i went straight out and didn't get home till some silly time sunday morning and slept all day.

So most of this has prob been said

very dissapointing and brings u back down to earth a little after a good run

We really really missed Gerrard. We started brightly, and meireles, aurelio, maxi, suarez in particular seemed to link up well and get forward

Losing meireles straight after the restart was a major blow - it ****ed up any rythym we had....Ngog came on and didn't really offer much - but it was the midfield were i felt it was lost - with fabio and lucas in the middle and then maxi and kuyt right and left, we were so slow, we couldn't break at any pace and we just seemed to lose possesion easily and make a meal of winning it back

Positives - Suarez looked very very lively again and was unlucky not too score - the sooner we get him alongside carroll the better, plus we didn't lose so we are now unbeaten in 5!

Negatives - dirk dirk dirk after a couple of slighlty better performances (purely down to his workrate) he slipped right back down again - so so wasteful in possesion, every pass he tried to play seemed to hit one of their players, everytime the ball went forward to him he seemed to stop, stopping the forward momentum and then went sideways. In the first half, right in front of us, on the break Suarez and pulled away wide left into acres of space and the pull came to kuyt - there was one defender who didn't know whether to stick or twist about 10 yards from kuyt and in behind him was acres for suarez to run into - It wasn't even a difficult pass to play and dirk hit it straight at the one defender - inexcusable for me.

I like maxi and dirk, in the sense that they offer a bit of experience and have both done well at times - but we need to improve massivly on both of them if we are to compete - I'd keep one or both of them as squad players, but we need a right and a left mid/winger

What I have always thought. good to have one of them as a squaddie to fill the gaps etc and are good players when other players are doing stuff, but you can't have both.

maxi is probably technically better, dirk offers more work rate and possibly versatility - ideal world we'd sign Young and Hazard and have maxi and kuyt as cover but i'd be happy to sell either and keep one as cover and promote from the youth/ressies to fill the gap

How I feel about Dirk and Maxi really, I think we're more likely to get a decent offer for Dirk in the Summer and if it was around £8 Million mark I'd take it, been a great servant for us but we need to progress away from his style of play.

Obviously saying that we'd need someone better coming in - Summer will be an interesting transfer window for us as it'll really give us the first real chance to see how serious FSG are about getting us back to where we should be

Well previously I'd said 6 - 8 Million for him so I'd take 7, replace him with what will be our main summer signing and try to work on some of our kids to push on for 1st team football (Pacheco, Suso etc..)

We certainly need some pace and ability to deliver a cross on the move with Carroll being our main front man, this doesn't suit Dirks style of play and I think Maxi offers a little more in guile for us

It's a shame we are stuck with the tactic of playing too deep because we are scared of Captain Slow being exposed, thus making the whole game harder for us, and easier for the opposition. Of course, some people are so conditioned to negative football that they start to have withdrawal symptoms if defenders 'fanny about' with the ball and don't immediately hoof it up the pitch. "Oh no! Look at all that space opposition forwards can run into! Quick, get everybody back! I just can't bear to watch".
