Sitting back again, inviting pressure. Not much penetration when in possession. Crapola.

I think we as fans want to see someone come through the ranks and do well. That's not so bizarre is it ? Pacheco has shown that he can do well at youth international level so I'm hoping he can convert that to Prem level. When the older established players are struggling for form we want to look towards the bench and say give * youth player * a go so we can see if they can cut it.Originally posted by anfieldanfield View PostPatecho is obviously very average in training and wont make it at LFC. The obsession over him on here is bizarre.
That's how I see it anyway.

True, which is why it's all the more bemusing that Pacheco hasn't been given a chance.Originally posted by SB View PostI think we as fans want to see someone come through the ranks and do well. Shelvey has been given a chance and he's two years younger, Kelly is the same age and he's now a regular in the first team(and rightly so).
You'd have to wonder what is going with regards Pacheco's lack of first team opportunities, and it's not as if we're overloaded with forwards?

I agree that it's baffling. He mustn't be putting in at training is all I can think. If Kenny has doubts we should loan him out next season and see how he goesOriginally posted by Rudo View PostTrue, which is why it's all the more bemusing that Pacheco hasn't been given a chance.

Who knows fella, mystery all the same.Originally posted by SB View PostI agree that it's baffling. He mustn't be putting in at training is all I can think. If Kenny has doubts we should loan him out next season and see how he goes
A loan deal would be good, but only to a Premier League team - see if he can cut it in England.
In the modern game, at 20, you'd want your career to be going somewhere. There's only so much reserve football you can play no disrespect.

I liked what Danny has shown at the Euro U19 tournament last summer and what he has demonstrated on the pitch in those few games that he played at this level. Given that majority of our squad is struggling finding the form it is surprising that he could not get any minutes yet.
The bottom line is if he is to be in contention to ever challenge for a first team he needs to play.
Sadly, I don't think we will see him in red colours next year.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Well if you think about it, you'd only be proving people right if you made the same point again, wouldn't you? You see Craig, I'm only protecting your best interests here!Originally posted by Craig_H View Post
Ah yes, this beaut....
So i am basically NEVER allowed to make that point ever again, and stuff that's happened before will just NEVER be let lie?

I don't think repetition is really something you've only done in the distant past; it's not that you've done anything for anyone to get worked up about or need to let lie, just means there's a delicious irony in you pointing it out others doing it

None of this should detract from the vital point here, which is this is that the honeymoon period has been mercilessly torn asunder by our Czech foes.

True. I suppose you could argue it's a question of him not being physically ready, but it doesn't exactly inspire confidence in him as a prospect. Could be another one who leaves not having been able to feature in challenging enough games because he got lost in that gap of too good to learn in the reserves but not quite good enough for the first team.Originally posted by Lecter View PostThere must be something wrong with Pacheco that we dont see
Rafa, Roy and Kenny have ALL overlooked him

That is a bit hyperbolic. He was our best attacking player and he did now way near as bad defensively as you say.Originally posted by Drago View PostI'd drop Johnson. After that last performance he doesn't deserve to be near the team again for a while.
A worst defensive display then PFK ever put in while here.

Single handedly nearrly cost us two goals. That is clear as day.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostThat is a bit hyperbolic. He was our best attacking player and he did now way near as bad defensively as you say.
Him putting a few crosses in which weren't that great BTW, doesn't change the fact he had a stinker.
It's a rare one cause he was playing OK at LB.
