      Aren't winters in the Basque region cold too? I remember Xabi saying that he was no stranger to cold weather over there.

        It can all get quite cold, it is only the tropics that escape winter completely, The north of Spain get very rainy winters too.

            Haha...i just mean, having to travel 225 miles to Anfield is bad enough. Living in Oz would be unbearable.

              yeah northern Spain gets alot of rain. Spain has a crazy weather pattern really.

              Madrid and the surrounding areas get friggin freezing, coastal areas like Valencia are nice, and the andalusian region gets bloody hot.

              Villa is from the north FWIW

                and i dont even have foxtel (which has the rights to all premier league games....and make you pay $70 a month) Each gameday i have to find a mates house to watch it......can get bloody frustrating...especially if we lose.

                    The gaffer likes him but he is reluctant to move from Spain. I'm not bothered mind, I am happy with our current strikers.
