    West Ham Build up

The big news is who will be fit in the defence? Hopefuly some of the substitutions made were as a precaution ? Worst scenario for a back 4 (below) but hopefuly at least one of agger, kelly or johnson could be fit to play.

If Gerrard is back that's a big lift for the team plus having Suarez available too.

Steven Gerrard targets Liverpool return at West Ham

Steven Gerrard, the Liverpool captain, could return for Sunday's Premier League trip to West Ham United after three games out with a groin injury.

Gerrard was not risked in Thursday night's Europa League game against Sparta Prague, but the Liverpool manager, Kenny Dalglish, later said the midfielder was close to fitness.

The Reds will check on the fitness of Martin Kelly and Daniel Agger, who were both forced off during the 1-0 victory over Sparta, and Glen Johnson (Achilles).

Fabio Aurelio (adductor) is out and Andy Carroll (thigh) is still unlikely to make his debut. Luis Suarez returns after being ineligible for the recent European games.

Yep, I reckon that's the most likely line-up too - the only other possibilities for me are that he might play Skrtel instead of Kyrgiakos, and might persevere with Cole instead of Maxi hoping he'll hit some form ahead of the Mancs.

No I doubt he'll play Cole as he wasn't meant to play the whole match last night and would be leg weary as a result. Maxi all the way I feel.

You could be right about Skrtel though. Time will tell who will be fit with the defenders though

The front 6 pick themselves IMO. No-one else is screaming out for selection unfortunately other than these 6 so the decision will be who are the defenders I suppose.

I'm well excited, blagged a ticket in a hospitality box for this one.

First Liverpool match in about 3 years.

Free food, free beer and free ticket. Game on.

The Hammers are an in form side, scoring goals for fun, will be interesting this one imo.

If Roy was still in charge ( shudders at the thought) this would have been billed as a 6 pointer and they would have been described as a formidable opponent. Thankfully those days are gone and we should smash them.

                          ----------------Reina

                          Kelly-------Carra----Skrtel---------Wilson

                          ----------------Lucas

                          -----Suarez--Gerrard--Meireles--Cole

                          -----------------Kuyt

Not great but out best fit 11 at the moment. If Gerrard doesn't make it I can see a draw tbh. We badly need a LB, Winger and Carroll fit.

thought of the Bodge still in charge!

You can certainly say we'd be in a 6 pointer if that was the case, players such as Andy Carroll and certainly Suarez wouldn't be with us and 6 clean sheets in the past 7 games would have only been in our dreams!

Thank god JWH and FSG moved and put Kenny back in charge, can still see we're lacking a bit of quality in the final 3rd but we're turning into a tough team to beat again
