Liverpool Doctor Peter Brukner on Aurellio & Aggers Injurys

Liverpool’s Head Doctor Peter Brukner has commented on Fabio Aurelio’s newest injury problem. He told Liverpoolfc.tv:
“He’s got a significant hamstring injury. Unfortunately his body lets him down. He always play well when he’s fit. We’ve been managing him carefully because he’s not been playing twice in a week, but this just came out of the blue. He had a minor adductor strain a few weeks before that.

We rehabilitated him and he trained all week with no problems at all. He’s obviously very down. It was a sad sight to see him walking off the pitch. He’s frustrated because he was playing well on Sunday.

He was looking forward to getting a run of games but it wasn’t to be.”
Brukner also talked about Daniel Agger‘s latest injury:
“Daniel had a nasty kick on a joint to the side of his knee. It’s an unusual spot to get an injury. They take time and he’s a bit of a slow healer. He’s still not 100 per cent so we’ll have to see if he’s fit for the game this week. But it’s more likely to be the following week.”

    No ****.

Two very competent players who are just forever battling against injury.

A real shame - we miss them both.

But then there was always a reason why we let Aurelio go at the end of last season - and this is it.

That's why we pay those sports science people, to sort them out.
        Are we winning?

Agger is vital for us,as no one is both dominant in the air and mobile as he.

I dont think Carra and Skertyl are a godo combo.

We mus strengthen this position in the summer as a priority.

Obviously Aurellio is no great loss, as he is never fit to miss in the first place. I think he is very average anyway. Perhaps looks better than he is because of the lack of competition. He always wastes the set pieces that he is meant to be so good at too.

So we will need a left back too.

So to sum up, a centre back, a left back two wingers, and a ball winning midfielder. Five players to win us the league, providing they can stay fit, of course.
