I agree mate, by the time Rafa's done spending the greenbacks, i think Pongolle would do well to get in as 7th choice striker, let alone 4th. But until that happens, we can only go on what we've got currently.

You're right about fowler though sadly, he's just done and dusted. It's almost painful watching him nowadays, i feel terribly sorry for the lad.

Regarding FSP, despite his decent season in spain, i cant see us getting much money for him, even in terms of value in a makeweight. Once a player's on the scrapheap with his club (and Rafa doesnt do the scrapheap thing in a very subtle manner), they dont usually have much value.

Would love to see Pongo come back to the club but unfortunately i can't
      see it happening.

but I know Flo did say that, and i think Rafa said something similar aswell.
        Thanks I missed it

Good to hear and as we know from the Dudek saga, Rafa is a man of his word

I guess it all depends if FSP is happy with the Role that Rafa sees for him. I cant see it being anything more than a backup or Substitution role

I'd be majorly disappointed though if, after Rafa's had the opportunity to spend some of the mega-bucks, Pongolle's still good enough to be part of our squad.

The fact he's playing for a ****e team in La Liga and still knocking the goals in speaks for itself, regardless of who he plays against.

Personally i'd like to see him back, even if he is jhust an option off the bench, I liked the unpredictability he offered, and he was starting to show form before he left.

I'd see him as an impact player myself, a usefull addition to change things around when we are becoming predictable.

Sounds like Hammil had another good game for Dumfermline.

I'm really glad he's doing well for them, hope he continues to build on the promise, I think he's got the talent to make it for us if he really applies himself.

Sounds like he`s making himself a name over there.
Seems like the opositon knows him, and tries to take him out of the games. That makes it even more impressive.
Looks like we might have one that will make it.

Liverpool goalkeeper David Martin has joined League Two side Accrington Stanley on emergency loan until March 22nd.
The England youth international arrived at Anfield from MK Dons in January 2006 and has been a regular member of the reserve team.

Martin has also appeared on the first team substitutes bench this season.

With Martin out on loan, Italian under-21 goalkeeper Daniele Padelli could make his Liverpool debut next Wednesday for the reserves in the mini derby against Everton.
