Agreed. He goes on about his height, but even if has 7 feet tall he'd still not be good enough due to his positional play.

That said, he's one of three midfielders in our squad who look at the very least, decent when played alongside Lucas. The other two being Gerrard & Adam.

Jay isn't as creative as the other two, but has far more hussle than Adam. For me I'd bring in a Midfielder who can at the very least act as deputy for Lucas, and I'd let go of one of Spearing or Adam.

Im surprised at the level of dislike for Spearing. Hes not been fantastic, but hes not made lots of mistakes.

As Ive said before, he is a decent squad player. So Im happy for him to stay.
