I imagined he would only have had 20 mins or so, so like you I was surprise he came on so early. I was expecting him to look rusty but he looked quite sharp, I thought he seemed to tire a little towards the end but that was to be expected.

Hope so. Moreno is the most annoying git on our team, seems like all the vital goals we concede come from his patch, usually on set pieces. The lad has great pace and decent control so he gets into great attacking positions, but Jesus Christ above, 99 out of a hundred of his crosses are pure hit and hope ****e. Bit headless IMO.

I would assume that Flanagan is more likely to get games at LB, swapping Moreno for Flanagan would hopefully shore up our defence a bit. However, we may lose something as Moreno is one of the few players in the side with pace.
I imagine that for the rest of the season Flanagan will be swapping sides to give both Clyne and Moreno a break. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Clynes very solid defensively, but he's completely clueless going forward. He looks like he's running down hill out of control chasing the ball when he gets near the penalty area.
Flanno not world class, but he's just as solid defensively and better going forward so i think if he can get fit he'll have the RB or LB spot for sure. Plus he's got some nasty in him

20 months out ffs and he can come in and hold his own in a cup semi. Love his willingness to support the attack, to pass forwards and to leave his foot in when he needs to. Yes he will get reds if he stays fit, but this team desperately needs some steel. Was and remains my favourite player. Get in flanno lad.

as I said in the post match whooping
While he was understandably shagged out well before he got subbed I think Flanno can be an important player, something that he has and I really like is a very sharp crisp pass and he does it without any humming and harring which gets play further up the field that bit quicker.
